Nagai Park, Osaka

On the first day, we spend our time shopping and strolling in the neighbourhood. Instead of walking some more, the ladies decided they would just head back home to make dinner. I took the children and teenagers to Nagai Park which is 1.5km away from the house. We had a very nice walk along the main roads, not many cars anyway. I then realised why they were so enthusiastic. They were all very focused on Pokemon Go!! really big haul.

Osaka Museum of Natural History

Within the large park, there were a few sections. we visited the Osaka Natural History Museum first. The entrance fee was not much, and we bought the access into the Botanic gardens (many pokemons to catch inside) as a package. Within the Museum, as it is not exactly designed for foreign tourists, all explanations were in Japanese. Even so, we ended up spending most of our time inside. The kids loved those dinosaurs.

The exhibits were rich in range, and there is even a section on humans evolution, with stages of (real?) skeletons on display. Also, one that displayed the different species of cockroaches. Interesting.

Nagai Botanic Gardens

We then walked the grounds of the Nagai botanic gardens. Beautiful, serene and romantic. But with a group of kids whose objectives were only to catch pokemon, I can only try to catch up with them briefly taking good photo shots.

Quiet and serene.

Roundtrip back to the entrance of the park.

The walk back was equally refreshing. As it was dusk, another completely different sight.
